When it comes to trendy/eclectic pieces I've never been one to shy away. Although, I must admit my trend shopping is a bit more conservative than in the past....translation...99.9% of the trendy items I currently own were marked down when purchased. I've come to realize it's not that serious and my bank account definitely agrees. Which brings me to my "shants" featured above. I found these babies on Zara during their end of season sale. They were a whole whopping $12.99. Come to think of it damn near everything featured on this post (with the exception of my Fendi I bought ions ago) was purchased on sale...the budget is real people...lol.
"Tears aren't a girl's weapon. It's her smile." ~ Gackt Fur Stole:Vintage, Leather Jacket: WGACA, Camo Skirt: Army Surplus, Fanny Pack: Gucci, Shoes: Lamoda
With all the bullshit that's currently taking place the quote above is so fitting. Like seriously, how did we (America) get to this point?!?! Let me switch gears or else I see myself going on a tangent and I think (per the LOML) I've used up my alloted "fuck" words for the month...check out my Instagram if you missed that gem..LOL. Moving on let's discuss what I'm wearing here in the pics. Well let me start by saying I've been doing some serious recycling when it comes to the wardrobe because ya girl is on a serious budget, yep that's right AND I'm sticking to it. I've gotten quite a few inquiries on the skirt which I found years ago at an Army surplus store in Milwaukee. There are certain items that I definitely hold on to no matter how old because fashion always regurgitates and that definitely applies to camo. The fur stole is vintage passed down from my baby Aunt Babe (miss her to death) and the shoes are from Lamoda but I scored for like 50% off. Since moving from the Midwest to Cali I have definitely cut down on splurging on clothing etc. but as long as you hang on to a few staples fashion goes on.
I just realized in my last few posts I've been wearing skirts or dresses and if you know me well you're probably just as shocked as I. Considering most of my child and adulthood you would rarely catch me in either (I was quite the tomboy growing up). But, as the quote states above I may just have to create a new normal...and that's OK.
